Melissa McGill
Melissa McGill is an interdisciplinary artist who is known for large-scale, site-specific, collaborative, art projects that she creates in a variety of media, including photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, sound, light, and immersive installation. Her work heightens our awareness of our surroundings by exploring the intersection of the human culture and the natural world.
McGill has been exhibiting her artwork nationally and internationally since 1991, including solo exhibitions at The Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations; White Cube, London; Power House, Memphis; Palazzo Capello, Venice; and CRG Gallery, New York. She is a graduate of The Rhode Island School of Design and currently lives and works in Beacon, New York.
McGill is represented in the USA by David Totah and by Mazzoleni in Europe and Asia. She is a member of the Lenape Center Advisory Council.
